November 19th , 2003: I've put up a second album of photos from the Halloween Party -- check them out. Find the Cloud of Unknowing! You can see all photoalbums at our Snapshots page. Also, please join us for a fiction reading by the novelist Monique Truong, author of the acclaimed THE BOOK OF SALT, told from the point-of-view of Binh, the Vietnamese cook of Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas. Monday, November 24 at 7pm Mead Hall, Room 112 (Wendel Room)

November 17th , 2003: GSA meeting tonight! General meeting 7 PM in UC 104, Steering Committee 6:30 PM, same location. Also, Chris Rodkey has reactivated the Teaching Task Force and is looking for 3-5 students to help him look at pedagogical instruction options for Drew's graduate students. November 11th , 2003: We've posted a few photos from this year's Halloween Party -- check them out. Dr. Andrew Scrimgeour will be presenting to the graduate student body about Library issues at the next GSA meeting: Monday, Nov. 17th, 2003 at 7 PM in UC 104. Prof. Laurel Kearns will be presenting to the graduate student body about the new Graduate Division of Religion during the same meeting. Be sure to show up to give your input. Food will be provided.

November 7th , 2003: Halloween Party tonight at the Pub, 7 PM to 11 PM. President Kean's Presidential Planning Commission report ("white paper") is now online. There's much in there of interest to all three schools. Please read it and give input. Those with library issues, especially carrel issues, past or present, should e-mail me at jrovira@drew.edu and describe your concerns in detail. I'll be meeting with the library director, Dr. Andrew Scrimgeour, early next week about grad student concerns and the upcoming Library Survey. The Ph.D. prospectus workshop is set for Monday, November 10 in Thompson Commons at 7:00 pm. The agendas for the November 17th Steering Committe Meeting (UC 104, 6:30 PM) and the General Meeting (UC 104, 7:00 PM) are now online. The minutes for the September 22nd Steering Committee meeting and General meeting have now been posted. Please review both for your approval prior to our next meeting on November 17th, 2003 in UC 104.

November 4th , 2003: The results of the Parking Survey have now been posted. The Cost of Attendance Survey will be distributed by the Office of Financial Assistance today, and be on the lookout for a forthcoming Student Life Survey and Graduate Student Library Survey. A new Finances Page has been added to the GSA website. You can find information about Student Activities co-sponsorship, the GSA budget, and conference fund reimbursement linked from that page.
