Donations:
The Honduras Project accepts donations in checks made out
to the Drew Honduras Project.
We also accept dontations of
- clothing
- shoes
- medical supplies
- school supplies
- toothbrushes & toothpaste
- bars of soap
- children's vitamins (please check
the expiration date!!)
- Spanish language books
- frequent flier miles with Continental
Airlines [please contact us]
All dontaions, however great or small, are deeply appreciated
and are essential to the continuation of the project. The
project raises between $20,000 and $35,000 per trip, and
most of the
money comes in very small amounts.
Materials and labor
for a house in Colonia Episcopal cost $1,500.00;
It also costs $1,500.00 to sponsor a child for a year
at El Hogar;
The cost of notebooks for the boys of El Hogar to use
in school is about $500.00 (in Spring 2001 Staples of
Madison
donated
100 of the 650 notebooks needed--thanks!)
