The purpose of SAA is to establish, foster and promote the development of beneficial relationships among the University's students, alumni, staff, faculty and the campus community. In striving to fulfill this purpose, SAA notes its role in the greater effort of furthering the quality of the University as an institution of higher education. SAA also promotes the activities of the University Alumni Associations through its programming to create and instill the spirit of the University students and to give students a better understanding of what the Alumni Association is, what the benefits of membership are and how the Alumni Association functions.
